QuadLock phone mount on Norden 901
Husqvarna Norden 901 has very convenient place for GPS or phone, right above the dashboard. OEM GPS mount is very flimsy and not the best solution for off-road use, so I installed Vanasche motorsports GPS mount as soon as I got my bike. And it works great for Garmin Zumo XT I regularly use.
Since I use the bike for commuting too, I wanted to place my phone in the cockpit too. I am not a fan of RAM arms for this use, so we fabricated a upper handlebar clamp, with threaded holes in AMPS pattern - Upper handlebar clamp 38/40x90 AMPS.
I have a Samsung Galaxy and I decided to get QuadLock case for it. This seemed like a best and most elegant solution. Of course, they manufacture cases for other phone brands too. And another great feature is that they offer weatherproof wireless charger, ideal for motorcycle use. This eliminates the need to insert a USB charger into the phone. If bike is used off-road, small USB socket will inevitably suffer some damage from vibrations, so wireless charging is much better solution.
Also, QuadLock offers vibration dampener, which will save your phone's camera.
When put all together, this is a great system for Adv bike.
This is what I used on my bike - Weatherproof Wireless Charger, Motorcycle Vibration Dampener and Flat Rectangle 4 hole mount. Flat rectangle 4 hole mount uses AMPS bolt pattern, so installing it on our Upper handlebar clamp is just a simple bolt-on procedure.
Vibration dampener and Weatherproof Wireless charger are bolted to the Flat rectangle base.
Wireless charger is plugged into the USB port, so you can just use cigarette lighter USB adapter. Or you could hardwire it to the bike, with a little bit of DIY and knowledge in electronics.
Phone is connected to the Wireless charger base very quickly and it stays there, even on the roughest roads. Vertical and horizontal mounting is possible.
Vibration dampener does it's job very well. On the roughest roads it move a little bit, but it is small price to pay for saving your phone from nasty vibrations.
