Perun moto Side Carriers for Yamaha Tenere 700 - design details
We designed our Yamaha Tenere 700 Top luggage rack as a platform for rack-less luggage systems.
To further improve the fit of these systems on the Tenere 700 we designed Yamaha Tenere 700 Side carriers.

1. Stand-offs for rack-less systems
These Side carriers are designed to support side pockets of most popular rack-less systems on the market. Doing this, they ensure these luggage systems will fit perfectly.
Side carriers extend approx. 80 mm to the rear, which gives more room for fine-tuning the position of rack-less bags.
Tenere 700 is notorious for it's fragile plastics. Side carriers are almost completely supporting the weight of the bags. Only small part of the bags is still pushing against the side plastics.

2. Integration with Perun moto Top luggage rack
As seen in the blog posts above, Side carriers can seamlessly integrate with Perun moto Yamaha Tenere 700 Top luggage rack.
Once installed, it takes only few minutes to remove them, and re-install.
More details can be found in the Instructions.
Due to the mounting system, Side carriers can't be used with top racks from different manufacturers.

3. Low profile
To ensure the rack-less bags are sitting as close to the bike as possible, Side carriers have a very low profile.
Same low profile is kept when Side carriers are used with the Top luggage rack.

4. Strength and durability
Side carriers are made of 4 mm stainless steel. This provides a balance between strength and light weight.
All edges are nicely chamfered and bends are made using the special tooling.
Also, bends are precisely calculated, to allow some movement of the Side carriers without touching the plastics.
In order to make Side carriers strong enough, we designed an under-the-tail billet aluminum bracket.
The bracket greatly improves the strength of the assembly.
